    1924 5C MS66 PCGS. CAC. A splendid 1924 nickel that maximizes its luster and strike sharpness compared to the typical example of this date. There is a hint of sky-blue patina across each side. This is one of the scarcest Philadelphia issues in this lofty grade. PCGS lists only seven finer submissions (10/18).
    Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 2/2005), lot 5997, which realized $2,990; Central States Signature (Heritage, 4-5/2009), lot 1516, which realized $1,840.(Registry values: N1793)
