Description

Colorfully Toned, Gem 1924-D Nickel

1924-D 5C MS65 PCGS. Not only does that outstanding Gem '24-D Buffalo possess shimmering luster under superb toning, but the strike is appreciably sharper than the vast majority of this normally substandard issue. Ice-blue centers are surrounded by concentric circles of antique-gold, crimson-magenta, and mint-green at the peripheries. A couple of lateral marks are noted near the Indian's mouth that limit the grade. Population: 68 in 65, 1 finer (10/05).
