Description

1924-D 5C MS65 PCGS. While many 1924-D nickels show the peripheral die wear exhibited by this Gem coin, most visibly at the tops of the letters in Liberty, few have the gold-tinged luster or careful preservation that make up the bulk of its eye appeal. This D-mint issue is virtually unknown any better; PCGS has graded only one finer example (8/10).
