Description

1924-D Buffalo Nickel, MS66
Among the Finest Certified

1924-D 5C MS66 PCGS. The 1924-D marked the return of Buffalo nickel production in Denver after a two-year break following the war years. This Premium Gem has light silver-gray patina on vibrant mint luster that flashes pastel hues of lavender and ice-blue during rotation. Well-struck for the issue, this piece shows typical softness on the high points and along the right rim. The surfaces are virtually flawless, and PCGS and NGC, combined, report no numerically finer pieces, and PCGS shows just one at MS66+ (11/25).(Registry values: N4719)
