    Description

    1924-D Buffalo Nickel, Dazzling MS66
    Formerly Marvin Elkin/Jon/Lor Registry Set

1924-D 5C MS66 PCGS. Better struck than most examples of this issue, but of course, still showing the flat spot at the front of the bison's head, probably a deficiency in the master die itself. The surfaces are bright and satiny with glistening mint luster beneath pale lilac and golden patina over each side. As one would expect from an MS66, there are no noticeable or mentionable abrasions. This is an unusual opportunity for the advanced Buffalo nickel collector. Population: 3 in 66, 0 finer (4/13).
Ex: Marvin Elkin Collection (the Jon/Lor PCGS Registry Set)/Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 6/2002), lot 5493.(Registry values: N4719)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22RY, PCGS# 3952)

    Weight: 5.00 grams
