1924-S Buffalo Nickel, MS64
Colorfully Toned Key Date Piece
1924-S 5C MS64 PCGS. Vibrant tones of lavender, gold, and
ice-blue grace the softly frosted surfaces of this Choice 1924-S
Buffalo nickel. Although typical softness shows on the bison's
shoulder and the hair above the Indian's braid, the date and
legends are sharp. A loupe shows a few minor nicks on each side
that prevent a full Gem designation, but most are concealed within
the colorful patina. Eye appeal is outstanding. The 1924-S is a
better date in high grade, becoming scarce in MS65 and rare
