Description

1924-S Nickel, Satiny MS65
Scarce in This Grade

1924-S 5C MS65 PCGS. Vibrant orange-gold toning yields to lilac and nickel-gray toning that graces the Gem surfaces of this 1924-S nickel, with no significant abrasions of note. The coin is from an early state of the dies without heavy metal flow in the smooth, faintly iridescent fields, although a hint of strike softness occurs in the centers. The 1924-S is seldom seen in this grade and is rare finer. There are no marks of consequence and the bison side is equally attractive with vivid toning accents. PCGS Population: 51 in 65 (5 in 65+), 8 finer (5/25).(Registry values: N4719)
