Doubled Die Obverse and Reverse
1926 5C Doubled Die Obverse and Reverse, FS-101/801, MS65
PCGS. Both dies are doubled on this variety, visible most
easily on LIBERTY and E PLURIBUS UNUM. In Gem condition this
variety is rare. The Cherrypickers' reference says: "This is
one of the nicest doubled-die obverses in the series." The present
coin displays satiny champagne-silver luster and is sharply struck.
Neither side exhibits bothersome abrasions.Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 569448, Base PCGS# 3957, Greysheet# 326601)
