Description

1927-D Buffalo Nickel, MS62
Three and a Half Legged Variety

1927-D 5C 3 1/2 Leg MS62 PCGS. FS-901. Like its more famous counterpart from 1937, the 1927-D Buffalo nickel with three and a half legs is the result of excessive die polishing that effaced part of the bison's foreleg. This well-detailed MS62 example displays satiny mint luster, with traces of ice-blue and pale gold toning. Population: 1 in 62, 0 finer (1/12).
