Pleasing 1927-D Buffalo Nickel, MS65
1927-D 5C MS65 NGC. Attractive gold and slate-gray toning endows the surfaces of this carefully preserved Gem. Lange (2006) writes that he still believes this issue is undervalued in Gem and considers well-struck examples to be particularly elusive. This piece is sharply struck save for a touch of weakness on the Indian's hair. Satiny luster on both sides enhances the eye appeal of this charming piece.
