    Description

    1927-D Buffalo Nickel, MS66
    Registry Set Essential

1927-D 5C MS66 PCGS. The 1927-D Buffalo nickel is an underrated issue in high grade, from a mintage of 5.7 million pieces. Some of the dies were heavily worn and many examples seen have striking problems. This impressive Premium Gem exhibits a better-than-average strike, with just a touch of the usual softness on the hair above the braid and bison's shoulder. The impeccably preserved surfaces are blanketed in attractive shades of golden-brown, lavender-gray, and ice-blue toning. Satiny mint luster shines through the patina. The present coin is among the finest certified examples and it will be a welcome addition to the finest collection or Registry Set. Population: 7 in 66, 0 finer (7/16).(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 22S9, PCGS# 3961)

    Weight: 5.00 grams

    Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
