Description

1929-D Buffalo Nickel, MS67
No Finer Examples

1929-D 5C MS67 PCGS. This issue's 8.37 million-piece mintage makes obtaining one in lower grades feasible, but subpar strikes at the Denver branch mint make higher grades invariably more elusive. This example in MS67 is one of only nine graded at this level by PCGS with none finer (1/26). An incredibly and atypically sharp example of this particular issue, it is accompanied by equally abnormally radiant luster that jumps out and shows toning going from an outer bronze gold patina, lighter pink, to an inner ring of softer fields of blue. Both sides of the coin are free from abrasions and blemishes that would distract from its distinct eye appeal.(Registry values: N2998)
