Description
Lightly Toned MS67 1930 Nickel
1930 5C MS67 NGC. The 1930 Buffalo nickel, with a mintage approaching 23 million pieces, can be readily located in Mint State through the Gem level. Premium Gems are more difficult, and higher-grade specimens are elusive. Champagne-gold and ice-blue patina is slightly deeper on the reverse of this highly lustrous Superb Gem. Only minor softness is seen on the Indian's hair, but overall the strike is far better than usually seen on this issue. The only mark of note occurs in the field under the bison's neck.
