1930-S Buffalo Nickel, MS66
FS-401, Two Feathers

1930-S 5C Two Feathers, FS-401, MS66 PCGS. CAC. This is one of several varieties in the Buffalo nickel series that are the product of die lapping, with part or all of shallow design elements effaced. In this case, it is the inner feather on the obverse that is lapped away. This variety is rare in MS66. The present coin displays satiny luster and light golden toning, with no distracting abrasions. The strike is soft in the centers as usual.
