Extremely Rare 1935 FS-801 Nickel
Doubled Die Reverse, MS61
1935 5C MS61 NGC. Doubled Die Reverse. FS-801. This variety
has obvious die doubling on the denomination and the motto, and it
is considered one of the most popular Buffalo nickel varieties.
Bill Fivaz and J.T. Stanton write that only about 10 of these coins
are known in Mint State grades. This piece is lustrous with frosty
gray surfaces and light gold toning.(Registry values: N69)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22SN, PCGS# 3974, Greysheet# 3097)
