Sharply Struck 1935-D Nickel, MS67
1935-D 5C MS67 NGC. David Lange (2006) writes that "Fully-struck Gems are genuinely rare. Many of these coins were struck from extremely worn dies ... ." An attentive strike brings out excellent definition on the Superb Gem in this lot, save for a touch of softness in the outer parts of some of the letters in LIBERTY. Impeccably preserved surfaces exhibit outstanding luster and pastel violet and gold patination.
