1937-D Buffalo Nickel, MS62
FS-901, Three-Legged
1937-D 5C Three-Legged, FS-901, MS62 NGC. The dies that
struck the Three-Legged 1937-D Buffalo nickel became heavily eroded
from extended use, and were polished down to remove roughness. In
the process, the forward leg of the bison was effaced. This Mint
State example displays satiny nickel-gray luster with hints of
light golden throughout. The central devices are well struck.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22SX, Variety PCGS# 38475, Base PCGS# 3982)
