Description

1937-D Buffalo Nickel, MS64
Famous Three-Legged Variety, FS-901

1937-D 5C Three-Legged, FS-901, MS64 PCGS. CAC. This famous Guide Book and Cherrypickers' variety occurred when over-zealous die polishing effaced the bottom portion of one of the Bison's forelegs. This impressive Choice specimen exhibits well-detailed design elements, with just a trace of the usual softness on the bison's shoulder. The well-preserved surfaces radiate vibrant mint luster throughout. Housed in a green label holder. PCGS has graded 80 numerically finer examples. CAC: 47 in 64, 31 finer (5/21).
