1938-D/S Buffalo Nickel, MS68
FS-511, Guide Book Variety
1938-D/S 5C FS-511 MS68 NGC. The overmintmark feature is
visible with a loupe on this Guide Book variety. The finest
examples known grade MS68, and these are rare. The present example
displays satiny mint luster and lovely pastel rainbow toning. Some
die erosion produces metal flowlines in the fields, although the
devices remain sharply defined. There is trivial softness on the
