1914/3 5C FS-101 MS64 PCGS Gold Shield. The origin of this
so-called overdate, whether caused by overdating of the die or the
hub, is debated. However, the variety remains perennially popular
with collectors and is included in both the Cherrypickers'
Guide and the Guide Book. The underdigit 3 is clear on
this well-struck and softly frosted near-Gem. Lightly toned.
