Among the Finest Proofs at PCGS
1915 5C PR68 PCGS. This 1915 is among the finest matte proof
Buffalo nickels certified at PCGS across all dates, and it is a
major rarity as such. Proof nickel coinage in 1915 amounted to only
1,050 pieces. PCGS has seen eight coins that qualify for the PR68
grade and none finer. That offered here is a prime Registry
candidate. Delicate lavender toning graces the interiors, leaving
yellow-gold border toning as a frame around each side. The details
are fully struck and neither side has a single discernible flaw.
