Description

1920 Nickel, Lightly Toned MS66+
Elusive CAC-Approved Example

1920 5C MS66+ PCGS. CAC. This is a satiny coin with peach-gold, lilac, and ice-blue toning over each side. Some central strike weakness is noted, but this is minor. The obverse is struck from a fresh die with little evidence of erosion, but the reverse shows the usual metal flowlines in the fields. The 1920 Buffalo nickel is only moderately scarce in MS66, but PCGS has seen just 18 finer examples. CAC: 41 in 66, 2 finer (5/18).(Registry values: N1793)
