    Description

    Gem 1927-S Buffalo Nickel
    Sharply Detailed, Better Date

1927-S 5C MS65 ANACS. Attractive jade-green, crimson, gray, and gold toning embraces this unmarked and mildly prooflike better date nickel. Just 3,430,000 pieces were struck, and the vast majority of this production went into circulation and stayed there. Unlike most 1927-S nickels, the present piece has a good strike, since the date and mintmark are sharp, and the bison's hair and horn are crisp.
