    Description

1936 5C Type Two--Brilliant Finish PR65 NGC. After initial complaints about the satin finish used on early cents and nickels in 1936, the Mint made the transition to a brilliant finish, which proved more popular with collectors. This Gem example of the latter type is mildly reflective beneath rich gold-green patina that becomes opaque in patches at the reverse margins.(Registry values: N1793)
