    Description

    Choice AU 1936-D Nickel, 3 1/2 Legs, FS-901

1936-D 5C 3 1/2 Legs AU55 ANACS. FS-901. Formerly FS-019, as on the ANACS label. The most obvious attribute of this variety is the bison's front hoof, which is much sharper than the attached leg that is only faintly visible. Another telltale is the little clump of vegetation below the bison's beard, shaped like a burning plume of natural gas. This is a nice, lightly circulated Choice AU example with grayish-gold surfaces that show a few wispy ticks, in keeping with the grade.(Registry values: P3)
