    Description

    1936-D 3 1/2 Legged Nickel, XF45
    Rarely Encountered Finer, FS-901

1936-D 5C 3 1/2 Legs, FS-901, XF45 PCGS. The 2020 Guide Book lists extraordinarily high prices for this variety above XF-AU. This original, olive-gray survivor is uncommonly well-defined for the variety. The surfaces are nearly distraction-free, and the eye appeal is well above average for the grade. An important bidding opportunity for the advanced Buffalo nickel collector. Population: 7 in 45, 4 finer (7/19).
Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2005), lot 1910.
