1937 Buffalo Nickel, PR64 Cameo
Extremely Rare With Cameo Finish
1937 5C PR64 Cameo PCGS. The Mint used an all-brilliant
finish on proof coins in the 1930s. This near-Gem Buffalo nickel,
however, displays considerable mint frost on the sharply detailed
devices, contrasting boldly with the brightly mirrored fields.
Cameo proofs are exceedingly rare; of the nearly 2,350 1937 nickel
proofs graded by PCGS, a mere 12 are designated Cameos! Population:
