Description

1809 JR-1 Dime, MS64+
Census Level Specimen

1809 10C MS64+ NGC. JR-1, R.4. Although considered scarce overall, the 1809 dime is rare in Mint State grades. Only one die marriage produced just over 50,000 coins, with the typical survivor falling in the middle VF grades. This Choice Mint State specimen has frosty luster beneath heather and light gray toning, with trivial marks that prevent a higher grade. Census: 6 in 64 (1 in 64+), 4 finer (12/12).(Registry values: N4719)
