Among the Finest Known of the Marriage
1821 10C Large Date, JR-5, R.3, MS65 NGC. Attractive
sea-green, pale-blue, and peach-gold toning is evenly balanced
throughout both sides. Bold repunching of star 3 makes the JR-5
attribution easy. While several Large Date varieties are reasonably
available in lesser grades, they are rare in Gem or finer
condition. This sharply struck JR-5 ranks high among all Large Date
examples, and is surely near the top of the Condition Census for
the variety.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 2/2022), lot 3031.(Registry values: N4719)
