1822 10C --Improperly Cleaned--NCS. XF Details. JR-1, R.4. The only dies for this much better date, which has a Guide Book mintage of 100,000 pieces, less than a tenth of the prior year's production. The slate-gray centers are framed by lavender borders. Well detailed but minutely granular and somewhat bright.
