    1827 JR-11 Bust Dime
    Pleasing Near-Gem Example

    1827 10C Pointed Top 1, JR-11, R.2, MS64 PCGS. The JR-11 variety is confirmed by a disconnected upper arrow shaft and the top-most points of star 13 broadly repunched. Attractive mint-green, blue, and magenta toning appear on the lustrous obverse, while the reverse shows light reddish-tan patina with soft underlying mint luster. The central high points are not completely brought up, but the strike is otherwise sharp including most of the star centers. A popular type selection, seldom available any finer. Population (all varieties): 75 in 64 (6 in 64+), 17 finer (1/20).
