    Description

Gem Brilliant Uncirculated 1830 Capped Bust Dime, JR-7 (R.4) Die Marriage

1830 10C MS65 NGC. JR-7, R.4. According to the John Reich Collectors Society, JR-7 is a "very scarce variety," and the "finest seen is MS-63." An obviously important Gem, this coin is earmarked for inclusion in a specialized collection of Capped Bust Dimes. This is a mostly silver-gray example with the lightest blushes of golden iridescence around the peripheries. Neither side reveals any mentionable distractions, and a meandering die break (as struck) over Liberty's neck and into the field toward star 12 is noted for accuracy. All major design elements are bold despite some bluntness of detail over the central highpoints. (NGC ID# 2379, PCGS# 4516)

    Weight: 2.70 grams

    Metal: 89.24% Silver, 10.76% Copper
