    Description

Choice Mint State 1832 JR-5 Dime

1832 10C MS64 NGC. JR-5, R.2. The obverse border is poorly defined as nearly always on this variety, rendering obsolete one important attribution point: four pairs of doubled denticles cannot be seen. A delightful Mint State example with satiny luster beneath attractive toning. The obverse has intermingled orange and steel color, while the reverse is bathed in light gold. This piece is much finer than usually seen for the variety. A late die state, this example has all of the cracks and die rust described in the JR dime book.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 237C, PCGS# 4521)

    Weight: 2.70 grams

    Metal: 89.24% Silver, 10.76% Copper
