    Description

    1832 JR-4 Dime, MS65
    Rarely Offered in High Grade

1832 10C MS65 PCGS. CAC. JR-4, R.3. While Obverse 3 was used on other varieties this year, the Reverse C pairing is distinctive with the wide spacing between SO. Over the past 18 years, this is only the fifth offering of a Mint State example of this variety in any of our sales, and this is the finest of those coins. The JR-4 variety is one of seven known die marriages for the year, and all seven are similar in rarity. Four of those are rated R.3 and the other three are R.2. This is a lovely Gem example with olive and pale gray color over satiny silver luster. Population: 15 in 65, 5 finer (3/11).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 237C, PCGS# 4521)

    Weight: 2.70 grams

    Metal: 89.24% Silver, 10.76% Copper
