Richly Toned MS66 1833 Dime, JR-5
One of the Finest Known
1833 10C MS66 NGC. JR-5, R.1. While JR-5 is a relatively
common variety for the year and examples can be located above XF,
at the MS66 level this piece must rate at the top of the Condition
Census. The devices are well brought up throughout. The strength of
strike contributes to the coin's well-balanced appearance overall.
Another factor is the rich reddish centers that are surrounded by
deep blue at the margins, and the toning is enlivened by bright,
