    1834 Capped Bust Dime, MS65
    Large 4, JR-1 Variety

1834 10C Large 4 MS65 PCGS. CAC. JR-1, R.1. From a large mintage of 635,000 pieces, the 1834 Capped Bust dime employed four different obverse dies and six different reverses to strike a total of seven known die varieties for the date. This delightful Gem represents the JR-1 Variety, with a Large 4 in the date and a double arrow shaft on the top arrow. The design elements are sharply detailed, with evidence of recutting on some of the stars and a die crack uniting stars 1-5. Vibrant mint luster adds to the terrific eye appeal. Population: 6 in 65, 6 finer (2/13).(Registry values: P1) (NGC ID# 237E, PCGS# 4526)

    Weight: 2.70 grams

    Metal: 89.24% Silver, 10.76% Copper
