    Description

    1835 JR-3 Dime, MS65
    Needle-Sharp Detail

1835 10C JR-3, R.2 MS65 PCGS. A Fancy 8 in the date and the positioning of the D in UNITED relative to the scroll confirm the JR-3 attribution. Along with JR-1 and JR-2, this represents the first time the Fancy 8 style was employed for use on dimes. Brilliant surfaces exhibit hints of pale golden patina and radiate shimmering mint frost, illuminating devices that show a near-full strike. Free of mentionable marks. Population (all varieties): 17 in 65 (1 in 65+), 2 finer (2/16). (Variety PCGS# 38881, Base PCGS# 4527)
