1836 JR-3 Dime, MS65 CAC
Brilliant and Bold
1836 10C JR-3, R.3, MS65 PCGS. CAC. Despite a reported
mintage of 1.19 million pieces, only three die pairings are known
for the 1836 Capped Bust dime, and two of them are fairly scarce.
Probably, much of the 1836 delivery was from 1835-dated dies. The
1836 JR-3 can be attributed at a glance from the wide space between
10 and C. This untoned example is satiny and sharply struck. There
are no noticeable marks. For all varieties, CAC: 4 in 65, 4 finer
(2/24).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 237G, Variety PCGS# 38890, Base PCGS# 4528, GSID# 213131)
