Description
Impressive 1832 Half Dime, V-8, LM-5, Gem Mint State
1832 H10C MS65 NGC. V-8, LM-5, R.1. This variety is best identified by the reverse, which has a large period in the denomination centered above two dentils, and in AMERICA the base of R is slightly higher than the I. The highly lustrous fields are nearly prooflike and complement the boldly defined design elements. An early die state example, only the second S in STATES is filled in the upper loop and there are faint clash marks above the eagle. This brilliant specimen has great eye appeal and would make a wonderful representative.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 232E, PCGS# 4279, GSID# 3737)
