Description

1832 H10C V-12, LM-4, R.4, MS65 NGC. One of the few Bust half dime die marriages unknown to Valentine, LM-4 was first described by Walter Breen in 1958. The prominent die crack above the cap, combined with a filled upper loop on the second S in STATES, confirms this scarce variety. This fully struck and nearly brilliant Gem offers impressive cartwheel luster, and since it is so well-preserved, the eye appeal is excellent.
Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 11/2005), lot 807, where it brought $1,955.
