Description

Lovely 1833 Gem Half Dime, V-5, LM-7

1833 H10C MS65 PCGS. V-5, LM-7, R.2. The 8 and 3 of the date are close at the top, and a large period after the denomination is centered over a space between two dentils. An original, deeply toned Gem with underlying satin luster. The design types on both sides are bold, except for the usual central softness characteristic of the Capped Bust design. Both sides have intermingled steel, lilac, russet, sea-green, and iridescent toning with splashes of lighter ivory. A lovely and highly appealing piece.(Registry values: N2998)
