Superb Gem 1835 Half Dime
Small Date, Small 5C, V-7, LM-10

1835 H10C Small Date, Small 5C MS67 PCGS. V-7, LM-10, R.1. Faint canary-gold toning adorns this vivaciously lustrous Superb Gem. Even prolonged inspection beneath a loupe is unable to locate any abrasions. Well struck overall, with any incompleteness limited to the curl left of the ear and opposite on the left border of the shield. LM-10 is the usually encountered of the two Small Date, Small 5C die marriages. The other variety, LM-11, is very scarce. Man different punches were used to form the dates and denominations of 1835 half dimes, which makes identification of the 12 different die pairings a relatively easy task.
