    Description

    1836 V-2, LM-4 Half Dime, MS66
    Among the Finest Known

1836 H10C Small 5C MS66 NGC. V-2, LM-4, R.2. A stunning Gem coin that is deeply toned with russet-gold and lilac hues over the entire surface. The strike is sharp over the devices, with strong curls on Liberty and all the stars bold. On the reverse the die has been lapped causing many details to be shallow, and eliminating the stems on the tiny berries, which now float around the branch in their own little field of silver. Population: 17 in 66, 2 finer (1/12).
    Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 6049.(Registry values: P1) (NGC ID# 232J, PCGS# 4288)
