Description
1807 50C Large Stars, 50 Over 20 VF 35 NGC. O-112, R.1. An early die state, the obverse does not display a crack through the base of the 80 in the date or a chip under the crossbar of the 7 in the date. This is an important and desirable first-year example whose devices retain sufficient definition despite characteristic striking softness over the reverse portrait and moderate overall wear. Both sides are toned in lilac-gray shades with tinges of olive patina intermingled toward the reverse border.
