1807 Capped Bust Half, MS63
O-113a, Small Stars
1807 50C Capped Bust, Small Stars MS63 NGC. O-113a, R.3.
Moderately toned in splashes of sea-green and steel-gray. This
lustrous and clashed half dollar is smooth save for faint grazes on
the field beneath the scroll. Well struck except for the eagle's
neck and left (facing) shoulder, which always seem to be indistinct
on this variety. Among the finest O-113a examples. The top two
pieces listed by Herrman are an NGC MS65 and a PCGS MS62.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 6087, Greysheet# 6142)
