O-113a, Small Stars
1807 50C Small Stars AU53 NGC. O-113a, R.2. This early
Capped Bust die variety is significantly scarcer than O-112. It
also receives separate Guide Book listing as the only Small
Stars die pair. The present example is softly brought up at the
centers but the borders are well defined and display luster. No
marks are consequential across the rich gunmetal-gray,
caramel-gold, and aquamarine surfaces.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 6087, Greysheet# 6142)
