Description
Pleasing 1809 Half Dollar, O-102, AU58
1809 50C AU58 PCGS. O-102, R.1. Star 13 is close to the hair curl and there are a number of clash marks above the eagle's heads, identifying this variety. The edge features the distinctive XXX pattern as typically seen on Overton-102. Traces of luster accent the gunmetal-gray patina that covers both sides. Scattered abrasions define the grade, but none are particularly detracting. Sharply struck with lovely eye appeal.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24ES, PCGS# 6092, GSID# 6145)
