O-109a, III Edge
1809 50C III Edge MS63 PCGS. O-109a, R.2. The O-109a is
actually the most common of the three major states for this die
pair, distinguished by a die break through the middle of AMERICA
but not extending to the denomination. The III edge, though not
visible through the holder, with generous peach, blue, and violet
toning over a warmly lustrous obverse and a flashy reverse. Housed
in a green label holder.Ex: Houston Signature (Heritage, 12/2010), lot 3621.
