Description

1809 O-102a Half Dollar, MS63

1809 50C MS63 PCGS. O-102a, R.1. A distinctive variety with a widely repunched U in UNITED and a row of V-shaped clash marks beneath the banner. Die cracks near the date confirm the obverse die. This well struck Bust half dollar offers rich wheat-gold fields and motifs with glimpses of lilac-red here and there. The borders exhibit electric-blue and plum-mauve toning.
