Extensive Die Cracks, O-107a

1810 50C MS63 PCGS. O-107a, R.4. This attractive Capped Bust half dollar shows a prominent die crack from the edge, past the second 1 in the date, to the drapery. A lighter crack joins the bust and the first five stars on the left, identifying the scarce O-107a variety. The reverse also shows an extensive network of die cracks. This impressive Select example is sharply detailed and lustrous under dusky lavender-gray and golden-brown toning. Population: 20 in 63, 10 finer (12/13).
